When your head is still cluttered at bedtime, you need a scent that's both soft and airy. Ten drops of ylang ylang create a thick, sweet floral layer, five drops of lemon cut through to lighten the air, and cedarwood keeps a steady, dry wood base. This is a bottle ratio; take just five drops each time for the diffuser. Running it about twenty minutes before lights out is perfect.

On opening. Lemon (fresh, bright and clean) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. Cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.
Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
