a man who listens

5 oils · Floral · Woody · Resinous & sweet · Warm spice · code BL-2015

A big, multi-layered recipe like a long conversation: frankincense, cedarwood and sandalwood in nearly equal parts form a warm resin-and-wood base, twenty drops of coriander seed add a perceptive sweet spice, and ten drops of lavender soften everything. A calm scent that knows how to listen. Mix the 100-drop batch in a large bottle and rest it a week; use a roller bottle or 5 drops in the diffuser.

How it unfolds

As it settles. Coriander (warm and seedy, lightly sweet, with a whisper of spice); lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still); cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings); sandalwood (creamy, smooth and long-lasting) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Frankincense 2 · Cedarwood 2 · Sandalwood 2 · Coriander 2 · Lavender 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.

50 ml room spray
Frankincense 8 · Cedarwood 7 · Sandalwood 7 · Coriander 6 · Lavender 3 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use a man who listens in a diffuser?
Add Frankincense 2 · Cedarwood 2 · Sandalwood 2 · Coriander 2 · Lavender 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of frankincense?
Swap frankincense for vanilla or myrrh — same resinous & sweet family. The blend will shift a little: vanilla is creamy, sweet and cozy.
When is the best time to use a man who listens?
Diffuse it in a room, or mix a roller to dab on your wrists (diluted in a carrier oil).
