Three hours of back-to-back Zoom calls, tired eyes, heavy head. Five drops of lemon open with a fresh tang that brightens the room, three drops of eucalyptus add a cool, airy rush, and basil and rosemary, one drop each, keep your mind from drifting off. Place the diffuser outside the camera frame. Between meetings, switch your camera off, close your eyes, and breathe deeply for a minute.

On opening. Lemon (fresh, bright and clean); eucalyptus (strong, cool and wide open); rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Basil (sweet and green with a hint of anise) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
