Exam season, grinding nonstop. Two drops of lemon open with fresh tang, while basil, rosemary, and cypress, one drop each, add sweet spice, green herbs, and cool needles. Great for a study desk in the morning or early evening. Tip: take a five-minute break every hour, stand up, and go to the window to breathe and clear your head.

On opening. Lemon (fresh, bright and clean); rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Basil (sweet and green with a hint of anise); cypress (fresh, dry and clean like conifer wood) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
