wide awake, zero caffeine

3 oils · Citrus · Herbal · Minty · code BL-1146

Wide awake, no coffee required. Ten drops of peppermint open with a clear, icy chill, while rosemary and sweet orange, five drops each, add sharp green notes and fresh sweetness. This is a bottle ratio; use four drops each time because it's quite strong. Great for a study desk in the morning or early afternoon; avoid switching it on before bedtime.

How it unfolds

On opening. Peppermint (cool, sharp and clean); rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating); sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

FAQ

How do I use wide awake, zero caffeine in a diffuser?
Add Peppermint 4 · Rosemary 2 · Sweet Orange 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of peppermint?
Swap peppermint for spearmint — same minty family. The blend will shift a little: spearmint is sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum.
When is the best time to use wide awake, zero caffeine?
Run it at your desk or study corner in cycles of 30 minutes on, 30 minutes off, so your nose does not tune the scent out.
