Switch it off, switch it back on, and your brain runs smoothly again. Spearmint opens sweet and cool, thyme slips in warm and slightly spicy, and rosemary closes with green herbs. Use it in the gap between two big tasks, when you get up to pour some water. Add to the diffuser and run it for 10 to 15 minutes, that's plenty; any longer and the thyme starts to take over.

On opening. Spearmint (sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum); rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Thyme (warm, dry and herbal with a touch of spice) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Thyme can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
