tough, but done

3 oils · Citrus · Herbal · Resinous & sweet · code BL-1035

However tough it gets, it will get done. Six drops of myrrh build a solid, dry, deep wood base, four drops of bergamot lift the scent with brightness, and two drops of rosemary add a green streak to keep your mind alert. Great for long workdays, hard tasks, and anything that takes persistence. In a small room, reduce myrrh to four drops so it doesn't feel heavy.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style); rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. Myrrh (bittersweet, resinous, deep and classic) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Myrrh 4 · Bergamot 3 · Rosemary 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Myrrh 2 · Bergamot 2 · Rosemary 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Myrrh 15 · Bergamot 10 · Rosemary 5 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use tough, but done in a diffuser?
Add Myrrh 4 · Bergamot 3 · Rosemary 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of myrrh?
Swap myrrh for frankincense or vanilla — same resinous & sweet family. The blend will shift a little: frankincense is resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still.
When is the best time to use tough, but done?
Run it at your desk or study corner in cycles of 30 minutes on, 30 minutes off, so your nose does not tune the scent out.
