Blend recipes · Cozy & warm

sweet with some depth

4 oils · Citrus · Woody · Resinous & sweet · code BL-2734

Cedarwood, vanilla and bergamot split three ways: dry wood, creamy sweetness and elegant citrus; sweet orange adds a little cheer up top. Sweet but never cloying, with depth from the wood. Good for the living room or bedroom on cold-season weekend evenings. Light a candle, then start the diffuser; for a deeper scent, add 1 drop of cedarwood.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style); sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. Cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings); vanilla (creamy, sweet and cozy) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use sweet with some depth in a diffuser?
Add Cedarwood 2 · Vanilla 2 · Bergamot 2 · Sweet Orange 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of cedarwood?
Swap cedarwood for sandalwood or patchouli — same woody family. The blend will shift a little: sandalwood is creamy, smooth and long-lasting.
When is the best time to use sweet with some depth?
Made for chilly days, cold rain, Tet (the Lunar New Year) and Christmas; use it in the living room or bedroom.
