Sunday, no alarm, nothing to rush for. Twenty-four drops of lavender plus twenty drops each of geranium and cedarwood build a soothing base of purple florals, green rose and dry wood; eight drops of lemon add a bit of brightness like sunlight slipping through the curtains. It's a bottle ratio, and 6 drops at a time is enough for the bedroom. Want to stay in bed a bit longer? Use less lemon in your next batch.

On opening. Lemon (fresh, bright and clean) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); geranium (green and rosy, fresh and balanced) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. Cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.
Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
