Blend recipes · Cozy & warm

straight under the covers

3 oils · Citrus · Floral · Warm spice · code BL-2752

Tired? Just crawl under the covers. Lavender opens softly, bergamot follows elegant and bright, and a drop of cinnamon lines it with a little warm spice. Good for bedrooms on cold evenings after a long day. Start the diffuser 20 minutes before bed; for an even gentler version, drop the cinnamon and add 1 drop of lavender.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); cinnamon (spicy-sweet, hot and warm) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Safety

Photosensitizing Skin irritant

Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Cinnamon can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use straight under the covers in a diffuser?
Add Lavender 3 · Bergamot 2 · Cinnamon 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of lavender?
Swap lavender for geranium or ylang ylang — same floral family. The blend will shift a little: geranium is green and rosy, fresh and balanced.
When is the best time to use straight under the covers?
Made for chilly days, cold rain, Tet (the Lunar New Year) and Christmas; use it in the living room or bedroom.
