short on sleep, still showing up

4 oils · Floral · Herbal · code BL-1293

Short on sleep, but you still have to show up. Clary sage, rosemary, lavender and tea tree, three drops each: herbs sweet like tea, green like leaves, soft purple florals and a fresh, sharp streak at the end. This blend keeps you alert without making you more restless, great for the office at the start of the week. If the tea tree stands out too much, cut it to 2 drops and add 1 drop of lavender.

How it unfolds

On opening. Rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating); tea tree (green, medicinal and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Clary sage (sweet, herbal, slightly musky and unhurried); lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

FAQ

How do I use short on sleep, still showing up in a diffuser?
Add Clary Sage 2 · Rosemary 2 · Lavender 2 · Tea Tree 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of clary sage?
Swap clary sage for eucalyptus or basil — same herbal family. The blend will shift a little: eucalyptus is strong, cool and wide open.
When is the best time to use short on sleep, still showing up?
Best in the morning, early afternoon, or right after a nap; avoid using it close to bedtime.
