sending the blues packing

5 oils · Citrus · Minty · code BL-1380

This isn't a cleanse of any kind, just a mood swap that sends the blues somewhere else. Sweet orange, lemon, lime, bergamot and a single drop of peppermint: five dazzling citrus layers that settle into a cool breath. Use it on gloomy afternoons, once the bedroom window has been opened. Pull back the curtains, switch on the diffuser, and take a warm shower while the scent spreads.

How it unfolds

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round); lemon (fresh, bright and clean); lime (zesty, gently tart and very fresh); bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style); peppermint (cool, sharp and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

FAQ

How do I use sending the blues packing in a diffuser?
Add Sweet Orange 3 · Lemon 2 · Lime 2 · Bergamot 1 · Peppermint 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of sweet orange?
Swap sweet orange for lemongrass or mandarin — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: lemongrass is fresh, green and clean.
When is the best time to use sending the blues packing?
Use it when guests are coming, on weekends, after tidying the house, or whenever you want a little good mood.
