Recess time, and the whole schoolyard is jumping rope. Spearmint and lime, three drops each, are sweet-cool and green-tart, while rosemary and cypress, two drops each, bring herbs and conifer like the trees lining the schoolyard. This scent suits a classroom or an older child's playroom. Switch it on after school to ease the mind; in a small room, reduce each oil by one drop.

On opening. Spearmint (sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum); lime (zesty, gently tart and very fresh); rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Cypress (fresh, dry and clean like conifer wood) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Lime can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
