porch tea time

4 oils · Citrus · Floral · Herbal · code BL-2617

A hot pot of tea, a plate of cookies, rattan chairs on the porch. Citronella and lemongrass open with fresh, bold grass, lemon eucalyptus adds a crisp cool lemon note, and lavender, just two drops, softens the tail. Place the diffuser under the tea table and switch it on 10 minutes before tea; for a gentler scent, raise lavender to 4 drops.

How it unfolds

On opening. Citronella (strong, green and slightly lemony); lemongrass (fresh, green and clean); lemon eucalyptus (green, lemony and cool, a little like lemongrass) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Safety

Skin irritant

Lemongrass can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use porch tea time in a diffuser?
Add Citronella 3 · Lemongrass 2 · Lemon Eucalyptus 2 · Lavender 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of citronella?
Swap citronella for rosemary or eucalyptus — same herbal family. The blend will shift a little: rosemary is cool, green, herbal and invigorating.
When is the best time to use porch tea time?
Diffuse it on the balcony, porch or in the bedroom in the evening; keep the window screens shut for best results.
