Blend recipes · Summer fresh

parked in the shade

3 oils · Floral · Minty · Woody · code BL-3000

Three drops of geranium, three of juniper, three of peppermint: a balanced scent between flowers, evergreen needles and a cool breeze, like a car parked under a shady tree at noon. Good for the car, a small office or a balcony. In the car, use a mini diffuser or put 2 drops on a wooden scent block, and avoid dropping oil directly onto plastic.

How it unfolds

On opening. Peppermint (cool, sharp and clean) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Geranium (green and rosy, fresh and balanced); juniper (green and berry-like, with clean resinous wood) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Geranium 3 · Juniper 3 · Peppermint 3 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.

Geranium 2 · Juniper 2 · Peppermint 2 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Geranium 10 · Juniper 10 · Peppermint 10 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use parked in the shade in a diffuser?
Add Geranium 3 · Juniper 3 · Peppermint 3 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of geranium?
Swap geranium for lavender or ylang ylang — same floral family. The blend will shift a little: lavender is floral-herbal, clean and soothing.
When is the best time to use parked in the shade?
Use it at midday, in hot rooms, or after coming in from outside; you can also mix a room spray for a quick cool-down.
