Blend recipes · Summer fresh

cold splash down the neck

3 oils · Citrus · Floral · Minty · code BL-2909

Geranium makes up most of the blend, so it opens like a green rose, fresh with a slightly tart leafy edge. Lemongrass cuts in to brighten things up, and peppermint closes with a cool feeling that spreads slowly, like splashing water on the back of your neck. Great for the bathroom or bedroom after a workout. Try switching it on right after a shower, while the air is still humid; the scent gets richer and softer.

How it unfolds

On opening. Lemongrass (fresh, green and clean); peppermint (cool, sharp and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Geranium (green and rosy, fresh and balanced) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Safety

Skin irritant

FAQ

How do I use cold splash down the neck in a diffuser?
Add Geranium 4 · Lemongrass 2 · Peppermint 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of geranium?
Swap geranium for lavender or ylang ylang — same floral family. The blend will shift a little: lavender is floral-herbal, clean and soothing.
When is the best time to use cold splash down the neck?
Use it at midday, in hot rooms, or after coming in from outside; you can also mix a room spray for a quick cool-down.
