nose wide open

5 oils · Citrus · Floral · Herbal · Resinous & sweet · code BL-2188

A serious conversation with your nose, hosted by lavender. Lavender opens gently, tea tree and rosemary add a green herbal layer, lemon brightens, and frankincense holds a warm resin base. Great for the living room, the bedroom in the evening or a quiet workspace. This batch uses quite a few drops; use about 6 drops each time.

How it unfolds

On opening. Tea tree (green, medicinal and clean); rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating); lemon (fresh, bright and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

FAQ

How do I use nose wide open in a diffuser?
Add Lavender 3 · Tea Tree 1 · Rosemary 1 · Lemon 1 · Frankincense 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of lavender?
Swap lavender for geranium or ylang ylang — same floral family. The blend will shift a little: geranium is green and rosy, fresh and balanced.
When is the best time to use nose wide open?
Use it in closed rooms, on humid days, in monsoon season or after long hours of air conditioning — diffuse in short 20–30 minute runs.
