commuting in flu season

5 oils · Citrus · Floral · Herbal · Resinous & sweet · code BL-2197

A moment to yourself in the middle of flu season, in a clean-smelling room. Tea tree, lavender, lemon and eucalyptus split two drops each: green, soft, bright and cool, while frankincense holds a warm base. Great for the bedroom or a home office. The recipe is balanced, so it's easy for the whole family; for more warmth, add 1 drop of frankincense.

How it unfolds

On opening. Tea tree (green, medicinal and clean); lemon (fresh, bright and clean); eucalyptus (strong, cool and wide open) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use commuting in flu season in a diffuser?
Add Tea Tree 2 · Lavender 2 · Lemon 2 · Eucalyptus 2 · Frankincense 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of tea tree?
Swap tea tree for rosemary or clary sage — same herbal family. The blend will shift a little: rosemary is cool, green, herbal and invigorating.
When is the best time to use commuting in flu season?
Use it in closed rooms, on humid days, in monsoon season or after long hours of air conditioning — diffuse in short 20–30 minute runs.
