Blend recipes · Sleep

no more excuses to stay up

4 oils · Floral · Herbal · code BL-0032

A slightly unusual sleep blend: eucalyptus leads, cool and airy, thyme adds a warm, spicy herbal note, then lavender and tea tree make everything clean and gentle. It's great on humid nights when the air in the room feels stuffy. Since it's fairly fresh overall, turn it on about 30 minutes early and switch it off before you sleep so the room smells nice and still feels light.

How it unfolds

On opening. Eucalyptus (strong, cool and wide open); tea tree (green, medicinal and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Thyme (warm, dry and herbal with a touch of spice); lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

FAQ

How do I use no more excuses to stay up in a diffuser?
Add Eucalyptus 3 · Thyme 2 · Lavender 2 · Tea Tree 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of eucalyptus?
Swap eucalyptus for rosemary or clary sage — same herbal family. The blend will shift a little: rosemary is cool, green, herbal and invigorating.
When is the best time to use no more excuses to stay up?
Run the diffuser for 20–30 minutes before bed with the door closed, then switch it off or set a timer when you get into bed.
