On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style); lemon (fresh, bright and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Neroli (white-floral, honeyed and clear) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.
Bergamot and Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
