loud florals, chill vibes

4 oils · Floral · Woody · code BL-1862

Deep, warm patchouli leads, cool, soft lavender follows, and ylang ylang and geranium add a vivid floral layer that never gets noisy. Lots of flowers yet still relaxed, like a floral shirt worn to the beach. Put on some bossa nova and kick your feet up. Ten drops is right for the living room; use less ylang ylang if you want a lighter scent.

How it unfolds

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral); geranium (green and rosy, fresh and balanced) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. Patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Patchouli 4 · Lavender 3 · Ylang Ylang 2 · Geranium 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Patchouli 2 · Lavender 2 · Ylang Ylang 1 · Geranium 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Patchouli 12 · Lavender 9 · Ylang Ylang 6 · Geranium 3 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use loud florals, chill vibes in a diffuser?
Add Patchouli 4 · Lavender 3 · Ylang Ylang 2 · Geranium 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of patchouli?
Swap patchouli for cedarwood or sandalwood — same woody family. The blend will shift a little: cedarwood is dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings.
When is the best time to use loud florals, chill vibes?
Diffuse it in a room, or mix a roller to dab on your wrists (diluted in a carrier oil).
