grandma's cajeput calm

3 oils · Floral · Herbal · Resinous & sweet · code BL-0489

A quiet moment, with the familiar cajeput scent of childhood. Ten drops of cajeput open green, warm and gently cooling, like the little bottle of cajeput oil grandma kept by her bed; two drops of lavender soften it, and a single drop of myrrh adds depth. Perfect for chilly nights, rain pattering on the porch. In a small bedroom, reduce cajeput to six drops so it sits right with your nose.

How it unfolds

On opening. Cajeput (cool yet warm, and very familiar) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Myrrh (bittersweet, resinous, deep and classic) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Cajeput 6 · Lavender 1 · Myrrh 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Cajeput 4 · Lavender 1 · Myrrh 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Cajeput 23 · Lavender 5 · Myrrh 2 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use grandma's cajeput calm in a diffuser?
Add Cajeput 6 · Lavender 1 · Myrrh 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of cajeput?
Swap cajeput for rosemary or eucalyptus — same herbal family. The blend will shift a little: rosemary is cool, green, herbal and invigorating.
When is the best time to use grandma's cajeput calm?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
