waiting for my nails to dry

3 oils · Citrus · Floral · Resinous & sweet · code BL-0168

Nails freshly painted, hands frozen in place, so you might as well sit and breathe. Plenty of lavender opens clean, lemon adds brightness, and myrrh settles into a warm, slightly woody base. The scent is clean and pleasant, perfect for a beauty station or a corner of the bedroom. Nail polish smells strong, so crack a window open and place the diffuser toward the inside of the room so the nicer scent can take over.

How it unfolds

On opening. Lemon (fresh, bright and clean) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Myrrh (bittersweet, resinous, deep and classic) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Lavender 4 · Lemon 3 · Myrrh 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Lavender 3 · Lemon 2 · Myrrh 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Lavender 16 · Lemon 10 · Myrrh 4 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

FAQ

How do I use waiting for my nails to dry in a diffuser?
Add Lavender 4 · Lemon 3 · Myrrh 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of lavender?
Swap lavender for geranium or ylang ylang — same floral family. The blend will shift a little: geranium is green and rosy, fresh and balanced.
When is the best time to use waiting for my nails to dry?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
