fresh-faced on no sleep

2 oils · Citrus · Minty · code BL-1310

Just two oils, and they get the job done. Three drops of lemon open bright, tart and fragrant; two drops of peppermint follow icy cool, keeping the scent clear throughout. This minimalist blend works in any small space: your desk, the bathroom or the car, when you're short on sleep but don't want to look it. Tip: add it to the diffuser with cool water instead of warm to keep the lemon crisp for longer.

How it unfolds

On opening. Lemon (fresh, bright and clean); peppermint (cool, sharp and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Lemon 3 · Peppermint 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Lemon 3 · Peppermint 2 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Lemon 18 · Peppermint 12 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use fresh-faced on no sleep in a diffuser?
Add Lemon 3 · Peppermint 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of lemon?
Swap lemon for sweet orange or bergamot — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: sweet orange is ripe, sweet, cheerful and round.
When is the best time to use fresh-faced on no sleep?
Best in the morning, early afternoon, or right after a nap; avoid using it close to bedtime.
