Your emotions are lagging a little, reacting half a beat late. Clary sage and lavender make a soft cushion, like a comfy armchair; bergamot flashes a bit of tangy freshness, and geranium adds rose petals with the leaves still on. Good for afternoons when you need to slow down. Turn on the diffuser, make a warm cup of tea, and sit still for ten minutes doing nothing before you carry on.

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Clary sage (sweet, herbal, slightly musky and unhurried); lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); geranium (green and rosy, fresh and balanced) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
