Clary sage leads, fennel follows closely with a sweet aroma like a bundle of herbs at a market stall, geranium adds fresh petals, and lavender and bergamot keep the scent clean and pleasant. It recalls the first morning going to the market together, picking out each bunch of greens. Mix the 80-drop batch in a large bottle; use 5 drops each time for the kitchen or dining room.

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Clary sage (sweet, herbal, slightly musky and unhurried); fennel (sweet and herbal with a little anise); geranium (green and rosy, fresh and balanced); lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
