digging up an old playlist

4 oils · Floral · Herbal · Minty · code BL-0284

A song from junior year comes on, and everything comes flooding back. Spearmint leads, cool and sweet like the gum you chewed in school, Roman chamomile softens it, fennel adds slightly sweet herbs, and one drop of lavender keeps it clean. The scent is fresh and youthful, perfect for the bedroom or a study desk. If it feels too cool, cut spearmint to 2 drops.

How it unfolds

On opening. Spearmint (sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Roman chamomile (like ripe apple and dry hay, soft and mellow); fennel (sweet and herbal with a little anise); lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

FAQ

How do I use digging up an old playlist in a diffuser?
Add Spearmint 4 · Roman Chamomile 3 · Fennel 2 · Lavender 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of spearmint?
Swap spearmint for peppermint — same minty family. The blend will shift a little: peppermint is cool, sharp and clean.
When is the best time to use digging up an old playlist?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
