clocking out on time

3 oils · Citrus · Minty · code BL-1521

Leaving work right on time, a simple pleasure. Four drops of bergamot are elegant, two drops of sweet orange are cheerful, and one drop of peppermint is icy cool. The scent is light and refreshing, great for the living room or the car on the way home. Set the diffuser on a timer so the house already smells lovely when you walk in; in the evening, you can leave out the peppermint.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style); sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round); peppermint (cool, sharp and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Bergamot 4 · Sweet Orange 2 · Peppermint 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Bergamot 3 · Sweet Orange 1 · Peppermint 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Bergamot 17 · Sweet Orange 9 · Peppermint 4 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use clocking out on time in a diffuser?
Add Bergamot 4 · Sweet Orange 2 · Peppermint 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of bergamot?
Swap bergamot for lemon or lemongrass — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: lemon is fresh, bright and clean.
When is the best time to use clocking out on time?
Use it when guests are coming, on weekends, after tidying the house, or whenever you want a little good mood.
