Blend recipes · Relax

carefree this afternoon

3 oils · Citrus · Herbal · Woody · code BL-0152

Cool eucalyptus leads, airy like an afternoon breeze, patchouli forms a warm, slightly sweet earthy base, and bergamot adds an elegant streak of fresh citrus. A fresh blend with real depth, perfect for the living room in the afternoon when you decide to put everything aside. Eucalyptus is strong, so in a small room use 2 drops along with 1 drop of each of the others.

How it unfolds

On opening. Eucalyptus (strong, cool and wide open); bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. Patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Eucalyptus 4 · Patchouli 2 · Bergamot 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Eucalyptus 3 · Patchouli 1 · Bergamot 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Eucalyptus 16 · Patchouli 8 · Bergamot 5 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use carefree this afternoon in a diffuser?
Add Eucalyptus 4 · Patchouli 2 · Bergamot 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of eucalyptus?
Swap eucalyptus for rosemary or tea tree — same herbal family. The blend will shift a little: rosemary is cool, green, herbal and invigorating.
When is the best time to use carefree this afternoon?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
