broke but beaming

4 oils · Citrus · Floral · Warm spice · code BL-0781

The whole paycheck is spent, and you're still beaming. Four oils at five drops each: pink pepper, lightly spicy and sparkling like berries; lime, tart and green; bergamot, tangy; and lavender keeping the whole gang from getting too loud. The scent is cheerful, bright and full of energy. Good for the living room on a weekend afternoon; a small room uses about half the recipe.

How it unfolds

On opening. Pink pepper (lightly spicy, sparkling and berry-like); lime (zesty, gently tart and very fresh); bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Lime and Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use broke but beaming in a diffuser?
Add Pink Pepper 2 · Lavender 2 · Lime 2 · Bergamot 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of pink pepper?
Swap pink pepper for cinnamon or coriander — same warm spice family. The blend will shift a little: cinnamon is spicy-sweet, hot and warm.
When is the best time to use broke but beaming?
Turn it on when your head feels tight: before a meeting, after a long day, or when you need a few minutes to settle.
