Bergamot, fresh and a little bitter with a light floral touch, opens very elegantly, then clary sage rushes in behind with a warm herbal scent, slightly sweet like hay. The two are split evenly, so the scent feels balanced and intimate, perfect for sleeping alone while still feeling hugged. The 24-drop recipe is for a large diffuser; a regular bedroom diffuser only needs 3 drops of each.

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Clary sage (sweet, herbal, slightly musky and unhurried) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
