Your best friend is flying home, and the whole house is buzzing. Four drops of lemon are bright and cheerful; three drops of ylang-ylang follow with a sweet, slightly tropical yellow-flower scent, like welcoming someone from far away. A simple two-oil blend with a festive feel, great for the living room or the guest room. Tip: start the diffuser as you head to the airport, and the house will smell lovely by the time you're back.

On opening. Lemon (fresh, bright and clean) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
