back to paper books

2 oils · Woody · Resinous & sweet · code BL-1019

Back to paper books: the smell of pages, the sound of turning them. Myrrh and cedarwood, ten drops each: dry, deep wood and pencil-shaving wood, like stepping into an old secondhand bookshop. Mix well in a bottle and take about five drops per reading session for a reading corner, home office, or small home library. For more warmth, add two drops of frankincense.

How it unfolds

What remains. Myrrh (bittersweet, resinous, deep and classic); cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Myrrh 4 · Cedarwood 4 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Myrrh 2 · Cedarwood 2 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Myrrh 15 · Cedarwood 15 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use back to paper books in a diffuser?
Add Myrrh 4 · Cedarwood 4 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of myrrh?
Swap myrrh for frankincense or vanilla — same resinous & sweet family. The blend will shift a little: frankincense is resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still.
When is the best time to use back to paper books?
Use it while meditating, doing yoga, journaling, or simply sitting still for 10 minutes without your phone.
