Blend recipes · Energy & alertness

a little too awake

3 oils · Citrus · Herbal · code BL-1320

Thirty drops of sweet orange, twenty of eucalyptus, ten of rosemary: a premixed bottle for the forgetful. The scent opens sweet and fresh like orange peel, then eucalyptus spreads an airy coolness on top, and rosemary finishes with a herbal note. Only a big house, a shop or a busy office has room for this much energy. Don't pour in the whole bottle; 6 to 8 drops at a time is plenty to wake you up, and more really is overdoing it.

How it unfolds

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round); eucalyptus (strong, cool and wide open); rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

FAQ

How do I use a little too awake in a diffuser?
Add Sweet Orange 4 · Eucalyptus 3 · Rosemary 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of sweet orange?
Swap sweet orange for lemon or bergamot — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: lemon is fresh, bright and clean.
When is the best time to use a little too awake?
Best in the morning, early afternoon, or right after a nap; avoid using it close to bedtime.
