Three drops each of lavender and bergamot, soft yet fresh; two drops each of sweet orange and patchouli add juicy orange and a warm, earthy base. The Vietnamese name plays on a word for sluggish, but there's nothing sluggish about this scent: cheerful, gentle and full of depth. It's best in the living room in the afternoon. Patchouli lingers, so running the diffuser for 20 minutes keeps the scent going until evening.

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style); sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. Patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.
Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
