Blend recipes · Relax

wide awake, softly

3 oils · Floral · Minty · Resinous & sweet · code BL-0529

Two drops of peppermint open with a cool jolt that wakes up your whole body, the same amount of frankincense holds a deep, warm rhythm, and a single drop of ylang-ylang adds a surprising hint of sweet flower. The result is alert yet smooth, never a shock to the nose. Good for Monday mornings, as you drink your first glass of water. About 15 minutes at your desk is enough.

How it unfolds

On opening. Peppermint (cool, sharp and clean) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

FAQ

How do I use wide awake, softly in a diffuser?
Add Peppermint 2 · Frankincense 2 · Ylang Ylang 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of peppermint?
Swap peppermint for spearmint — same minty family. The blend will shift a little: spearmint is sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum.
When is the best time to use wide awake, softly?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
