Blend recipes · Easy breathing

weird but cool

3 oils · Herbal · Minty · Woody · code BL-2104

It's unusual, sure, but it's definitely cool. Tea tree brings a sharp green note, patchouli pulls down into warm, damp earth, and peppermint scatters an icy layer on top; with all three split evenly, the scent has real personality. Great for a rustic-style living room, or anyone who's tired of citrus. If patchouli feels too heavy, cut it to 2 drops so peppermint stands out more.

How it unfolds

On opening. Tea tree (green, medicinal and clean); peppermint (cool, sharp and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. Patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Tea Tree 3 · Patchouli 3 · Peppermint 3 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Tea Tree 2 · Patchouli 2 · Peppermint 2 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Tea Tree 10 · Patchouli 10 · Peppermint 10 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use weird but cool in a diffuser?
Add Tea Tree 3 · Patchouli 3 · Peppermint 3 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of tea tree?
Swap tea tree for rosemary or eucalyptus — same herbal family. The blend will shift a little: rosemary is cool, green, herbal and invigorating.
When is the best time to use weird but cool?
Use it in closed rooms, on humid days, in monsoon season or after long hours of air conditioning — diffuse in short 20–30 minute runs.
