Blend recipes · Cozy & warm

warm vanilla, zero cheese

3 oils · Floral · Minty · Resinous & sweet · code BL-2800

Peppermint pops first, cool and alert, keeping the vanilla behind it from getting syrupy; ylang-ylang adds a touch of sensual florals at the end. An unusual combo, warm and fresh at once, good for the living room or home office on cold days. Best right after lunch; for more warmth, cut peppermint to 2 drops and keep ylang-ylang as is.

How it unfolds

On opening. Peppermint (cool, sharp and clean) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Vanilla (creamy, sweet and cozy) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Peppermint 4 · Vanilla 3 · Ylang Ylang 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Peppermint 2 · Vanilla 2 · Ylang Ylang 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Peppermint 13 · Vanilla 10 · Ylang Ylang 7 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use warm vanilla, zero cheese in a diffuser?
Add Peppermint 4 · Vanilla 3 · Ylang Ylang 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of peppermint?
Swap peppermint for spearmint — same minty family. The blend will shift a little: spearmint is sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum.
When is the best time to use warm vanilla, zero cheese?
Made for chilly days, cold rain, Tet (the Lunar New Year) and Christmas; use it in the living room or bedroom.
