warm to the bone

3 oils · Woody · Resinous & sweet · Warm spice · code BL-2838

Turmeric leads warm and earthy, while myrrh and juniper follow equally, deep resin meeting needle-wood. A rich, warm scent, perfect for days so cold it cuts through your skin. Good for the living room or grown-up bedrooms. Run the diffuser in intervals; for a lighter version, cut turmeric to 3 drops and add 1 drop of juniper.

How it unfolds

As it settles. Turmeric (warm and earthy with a little spice); juniper (green and berry-like, with clean resinous wood) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. Myrrh (bittersweet, resinous, deep and classic) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Turmeric 4 · Myrrh 2 · Juniper 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Turmeric 2 · Myrrh 1 · Juniper 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Turmeric 15 · Myrrh 8 · Juniper 8 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use warm to the bone in a diffuser?
Add Turmeric 4 · Myrrh 2 · Juniper 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of turmeric?
Swap turmeric for cinnamon or coriander — same warm spice family. The blend will shift a little: cinnamon is spicy-sweet, hot and warm.
When is the best time to use warm to the bone?
Made for chilly days, cold rain, Tet (the Lunar New Year) and Christmas; use it in the living room or bedroom.
