waiting on the callback

2 oils · Citrus · Floral · code BL-0827

Waiting for the call with interview results makes your heart race harder than any deadline. Blue chamomile takes the lead, opening with a sweet herbal note a bit like dried apple, then bergamot slips in a clean, slightly bitter citrus layer that slows your breathing. Nice for the bedroom or a small work corner while you keep picking up your phone and putting it down. Tip: add it to the diffuser, pour a warm cup of tea, and leave your phone face down for about twenty minutes.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Blue chamomile (deeply herbal, bittersweet and a little smoky) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Blue Chamomile 6 · Bergamot 4 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Blue Chamomile 3 · Bergamot 2 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Blue Chamomile 18 · Bergamot 12 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use waiting on the callback in a diffuser?
Add Blue Chamomile 6 · Bergamot 4 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of blue chamomile?
Swap blue chamomile for lavender or geranium — same floral family. The blend will shift a little: lavender is floral-herbal, clean and soothing.
When is the best time to use waiting on the callback?
Turn it on when your head feels tight: before a meeting, after a long day, or when you need a few minutes to settle.
