Blend recipes · Summer fresh

up early to beat the sun

4 oils · Floral · Herbal · Minty · code BL-2870

Five in the morning, and the sun is not up yet. Two mints in equal parts, sweet-cool and clearly tingly; rosemary and lavender follow with green herbs and soft florals. An alert scent for early morning workouts or watering the plants before the heat arrives. Start the diffuser when you wake up; for a gentler version, cut peppermint to 2 drops.

How it unfolds

On opening. Spearmint (sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum); peppermint (cool, sharp and clean); rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
