too cold to get up

2 oils · Minty · Warm spice · code BL-1284

It's chilly, the blanket is warm, and nobody wants to get up. Ceylon cassia opens with a sweet, warm cinnamon scent, softer than regular cinnamon, like a cup of spiced tea; peppermint slips in just cool enough to drag you out of bed. This two-oil blend is made for the bedroom on winter mornings or rainy days. Set the diffuser to switch on 10 minutes before your alarm, and the cinnamon will gently call you awake.

How it unfolds

On opening. Peppermint (cool, sharp and clean) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Ceylon cassia (sweet, softly spicy and warm) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Ceylon Cassia 3 · Peppermint 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Ceylon Cassia 3 · Peppermint 2 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Ceylon Cassia 18 · Peppermint 12 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

Safety

Skin irritant

FAQ

How do I use too cold to get up in a diffuser?
Add Ceylon Cassia 3 · Peppermint 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of Ceylon cassia?
Swap Ceylon cassia for cinnamon or coriander — same warm spice family. The blend will shift a little: cinnamon is spicy-sweet, hot and warm.
When is the best time to use too cold to get up?
Best in the morning, early afternoon, or right after a nap; avoid using it close to bedtime.
