Blend recipes · Fresh air & odor control

the room nobody's used

3 oils · Herbal · Woody · Resinous & sweet · code BL-2279

Open the door to a room nobody has used in a while, and the air is still and a bit stale. Tea tree clears the way with a sharp green note, cedarwood spreads a warm, dry wood base, and frankincense closes deep and soft. First open all the windows and dust, then run the diffuser for about 30 minutes. Once the room is aired out, add 1 drop of frankincense if you want a warmer scent.

How it unfolds

On opening. Tea tree (green, medicinal and clean) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. Cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings); frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Tea Tree 4 · Cedarwood 3 · Frankincense 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Tea Tree 2 · Cedarwood 2 · Frankincense 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Tea Tree 13 · Cedarwood 10 · Frankincense 7 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use the room nobody's used in a diffuser?
Add Tea Tree 4 · Cedarwood 3 · Frankincense 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of tea tree?
Swap tea tree for rosemary or eucalyptus — same herbal family. The blend will shift a little: rosemary is cool, green, herbal and invigorating.
When is the best time to use the room nobody's used?
Use it after cooking or cleaning, in the bathroom, near the shoe cabinet, or in rooms shared with pets.
