sweet-looking, secretly luxe

3 oils · Floral · Woody · code BL-1915

Roman chamomile takes the largest share, soft and sweet like apple tea, patchouli adds a luxurious earthy base, and ylang ylang sprinkles a little sweet floral. Looks gentle, but the scent is seriously classy: understated on the surface, rich underneath. Premix the 20-drop batch; wear it as perfume in a roller bottle on your wrists and behind your ears.

How it unfolds

As it settles. Roman chamomile (like ripe apple and dry hay, soft and mellow); ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. Patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Roman Chamomile 5 · Patchouli 2 · Ylang Ylang 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Roman Chamomile 3 · Patchouli 1 · Ylang Ylang 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Roman Chamomile 18 · Patchouli 8 · Ylang Ylang 4 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.
