Exams are over; time to come back to life. Tea tree and star anise share the main role equally: clean, slightly sharp green leaves meet the warm, spicy-sweet scent of star anise, a bit like licorice, while neroli adds sweet, delicate white flowers. The scent is unusual and full of character, perfect for a freshly cleaned study room. This recipe is for mixing a bottle ahead of time; star anise is quite strong, so use only about 4 drops of the mix each time.

On opening. Tea tree (green, medicinal and clean) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Star anise (sweet and warm, reminiscent of pho broth and Tet sweets); neroli (white-floral, honeyed and clear) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
