slightly hyper

3 oils · Citrus · code BL-2970

Lemongrass leads, bright and a little zingy, while sweet orange and bergamot follow, making the scent lively as if someone just turned on some music. Great for lazy mornings when you need a bit of energy to tidy up or work out. Switch it on 15 minutes before you start, and if you want even more bounce, add one drop of lime.

How it unfolds

On opening. Lemongrass (fresh, green and clean); sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round); bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Lemongrass 3 · Sweet Orange 2 · Bergamot 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.

Lemongrass 2 · Sweet Orange 1 · Bergamot 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Lemongrass 13 · Sweet Orange 9 · Bergamot 9 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

Safety

Photosensitizing Skin irritant

Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Lemongrass can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use slightly hyper in a diffuser?
Add Lemongrass 3 · Sweet Orange 2 · Bergamot 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of lemongrass?
Swap lemongrass for lemon or lime — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: lemon is fresh, bright and clean.
When is the best time to use slightly hyper?
Use it at midday, in hot rooms, or after coming in from outside; you can also mix a room spray for a quick cool-down.
