Blend recipes · Summer fresh

slept in, still fresh

4 oils · Citrus · Floral · Minty · code BL-2871

Lemongrass and lavender sit equally, fresh tang meeting soft florals; lemon and peppermint follow, bright tartness and cool tingle. A fresh, awake scent for days when you sleep in but still want a fresh start. Good for the bedroom or bathroom. Start the diffuser while you brush your teeth and wash your face; for a sharper wake-up, add 1 drop of lemon.

How it unfolds

On opening. Lemongrass (fresh, green and clean); lemon (fresh, bright and clean); peppermint (cool, sharp and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Safety

Photosensitizing Skin irritant

Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Lemongrass can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use slept in, still fresh in a diffuser?
Add Lemongrass 3 · Lavender 3 · Lemon 2 · Peppermint 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of lemongrass?
Swap lemongrass for sweet orange or bergamot — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: sweet orange is ripe, sweet, cheerful and round.
When is the best time to use slept in, still fresh?
Use it at midday, in hot rooms, or after coming in from outside; you can also mix a room spray for a quick cool-down.
