Anyone who has ridden a long-distance bus without air conditioning knows the craving for a cool, airy breath of eucalyptus right now. Icy peppermint follows, while lavender, lemon and juniper, one drop each, keep the scent rounded and pleasant. Good for the car, a stuffy rented room, or a few drops on a handkerchief to carry with you. In a vehicle, just 2–3 drops is enough.

On opening. Eucalyptus (strong, cool and wide open); peppermint (cool, sharp and clean); lemon (fresh, bright and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); juniper (green and berry-like, with clean resinous wood) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
