Blend recipes · Energy & alertness
This ratio is for people who mix big bottles: twenty-four drops of clary sage form the base, a warm, sweet herbal scent like sun-dried tea leaves; pink pepper sprinkles on a little fresh spice, and frankincense sets a resin foundation. The result is a blend that's alert yet deep, great for a daytime workspace. Use only 5 to 6 drops per diffuser session; for more spice, add 2 drops of pink pepper to the bottle.

On opening. Pink pepper (lightly spicy, sparkling and berry-like) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Clary sage (sweet, herbal, slightly musky and unhurried) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
