No more tired; time to head out. Three drops each of peppermint and lemongrass give a fresh, cool wave like a glass of iced lemongrass tea, while frankincense sits underneath with a warm resin scent so the feel never turns cold and flat. The living room right before you leave, or the car, are both good spots. Tip: put 2 drops on a hanging wooden car diffuser so the drive feels less stuffy.

On opening. Peppermint (cool, sharp and clean); lemongrass (fresh, green and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.
Lemongrass can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
